Please note that all discounts (for example for holders of the Budni Card) are only granted when purchasing tickets at our ticket office. If you have purchased tickets online with the HH-Card discount, please have your HH-Card ready as proof before the ticket scan.

DIRECTIONS
The CHOCOVERSUM is located in Hamburg’s old town, less than a 10-minute walk from the main train station. The entrance is located in the street “Pumpen” in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and opposite the historic Chile House.

Underground: U1 (from Central Station with direction Norderstedt) and get off at MeĂźberg, then follow the signs to the exit MeĂźberg.
Bus: Use the Metro Bus 4 or 6 (both barrier-free) to the station Brandstwiete.

By Car
Ask your navigation system to take you to “Pumpen” street. You will find the CHOCOVERSUM entrance on your left-hand side.
The area around Pumpen and Burchardplatz provides paid parking for up to 60 minutes.
If you would like to park your car for longer than an hour (and please note the guided tour lasts 90 minutes), the car park “Deichtorhallen” (Oberbaumbrücke 1) is closest to the museum.

By Coach
Ask your navigation system to take you to “Pumpen” street. You will find the CHOCOVERSUM entrance on your left-hand side.
In “Pumpen” street you can stop for the guest drop-off. There are parking spaces for coaches at the back of the CHOCOVERSUM on the southern Willy-Brandt-Straße. The max. parking duration is 2 hours.

Are you planning a school trip to Hamburg? School classes receive an exclusive 90-minute guided tour at the CHOCOVERSUM so that our ChoColleagues can optimally adapt to your group. Together with our guide, the students will discover the secret of chocolate. All senses are stimulated while they smell, feel and taste the cocoa. According to their level of knowledge, the students learn a lot of interesting facts about the cultivation and processing of cocoa into the finest chocolate. In addition, all participants choose their favourite ingredients for their personal chocolate bar to take home.
Our chocolate tours for school groups can also be conducted in English. Please note that the visit is only possible in English after prior notification at the time of booking.

Admission
School classes (primary and secondary schools, kindergarden, day-care centres and other children’s groups): For small groups of up to 20 participants, the fixed price is 220 EUR per group. Each additional student pays 11 EUR.
Vocational schools, university students and trainees: For small groups of up to 14 participants, the fixed price is 224 EUR per group. Each additional student pays 16 EUR.
The price includes the entrance fee and one bar of self-made chocolate per person.

Maximum group sizes and free admission
School classes / vocational schools / trainees / university students: maximum 32 participants (If there are more than 32 students, the group will be split into two or more groups. Two booked classes will also be automatically divided into two groups).
Kindergarten groups: maximum 28 participants
Please note that the maximum group size also includes the accompanying persons.
Free admission
Two teachers per group have a free admission (requirement: minimum group size). The creation of your own bar of chocolate is not included and can be booked additionally for 4.50 EUR.

And what about sustainability in cocoa cultivation? Not only will you be tempted to taste it, but you can also design your own chocolate bar with your favorite ingredients in our chocolate workshop. Price (tour start before 04:45 pm): 19 EUR per person. For small groups of up to 14 people, the fixed price is 266 EUR per group.

Included are admission, an exclusive tour guide for your group as well as one bar of chocolate of your own creation per person.

Special Program: Sweet World Heritage
As of July 2015, Hamburg is the home of a World Heritage Site and the CHOCOVERSUM is located right in the middle of it. With this program you may discover the architectural treasures of Hamburg in a very amusing and tasteful way. The tour is less than two kilometers and leads to the most beautiful views of the Speicherstadt and the Kontorhaus-Quarters. Learn how trading took place at the Chile House and what was stored alongside the picturesque canals. Coordinated chocolate creations will sweeten the tour. In the second part of the program you can look behind the scenes of chocolate manufacturing.

Special Program: Sweet & Salty
More than 250.000 tons of cocoa are transported through the Hamburg harbour every year. Here lies the true source of the sweet gold. Enjoy a 1 hour harbour tour and come into close contact with big ships and container terminals, the growing harbour city, and the historic Speicherstadt. Provided with coffee and cake, the tour leads all the way to Blankenese. The CHOCOVERSUM awaits you as soon as you’re back on land. Once there, you will experience live how the bitter beans turn into the finest chocolate. You will be indulged with plenty of samples and even create your own bar of chocolate.
